STAFFS, SALOP & WOLVERHAMPTON SOCIETY ANNUAL DINNER
(Incorporating the 2012 North Staffs Society dinner)
(Drinks reception 6.45pm, 7.30pm call to dinner, midnight carriages)
The Black Tie Dinner is being held in the Ballroom of Keele Hall, Keele University, Staffordshire ST5 5BG.
The principal speaker is Gordon Smith - “The Gateshead Contradiction” --- the Tynesider who’s perfectly understandable but also much misunderstood......
Gordon is a startlingly original humorist, who always gets serious laughs within seconds of standing up. After a hugely successful career in financial services, he is deeply in love with the sounds of currency (whether it rustles or jingles) and other people’s voices. He is an incomparably rascally social animal and his highly privileged upbringing in war-torn Gateshead (of all places!) has enabled him to charm his way out of any kind of scrape. Not once has he been beaten up and left for dead by any respectable audience.
The evening will be very entertaining as well as providing a superb venue to meet with colleagues and friends. Further details regarding the evening’s entertainment will be included in our next mailing. As always we encourage you to use this opportunity to wine and dine your clients and business associates plus bringing along your spouse/partner and invite your clients to bring theirs too.
There will also be a live band to add to the evening’s entertainment
Ticket costs are £40.00 per person (incl. VAT) - The District Society recognises the difficult financial times experienced by everyone and has heavily subsidised the ticket cost.
