Tomorrow's Managers Today (TMT)

Clayton Hall Business and Language College are currently looking to recruit 10 Business Mentors for a one-off day of Business and Enterprise. Mentors will be supporting our “Tomorrows Manager Today” business simulation event on the 1st February 2012.

During the day the Year 9 pupils work in teams of 10 to run a van manufacturing company. Pupils take on various roles such as “Sales Manager”, “Marketing Manager” and “Finance Manager” to compete and see which business can make the most profit.

Each Mentor will be allocated a group of pupils to work with and support throughout the day, guiding them through the task. Volunteers from any business background are well placed to support this event. Our staff lead and organise the day, the role of the mentor is to add the real life business experience to the task and help the pupils to get the most out of the event. Working with ten teenagers for the day, a sense of humour is of course essential.

The event runs from 8.30am to 3.15pm in the main hall at our school in Clayton. If you are interested in volunteering or would like some more information, please contact Mandi Marks mmarks@clayton.staffs.sch.uk
